Job Description

Dandelion Energy is looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition who will play a key role in influencing the strategic direction of our business by leading a growing recruiting function within our rapidly growing venture backed Geothermal Energy company. You’ll work directly with the CFO and closely with the Head of People, Management Team, and broader Company. You will have responsibility for the full range of talent acquisition activities across the company. You will continue to build out a world-class Talent Acquisition organization, and develop the plans, metrics and processes to drive that organization to accelerating success. Specific responsibilities include:



What You’ll Do

  • Team management, leadership and infrastructure - You will manage a team of two recruiters and build out a highly effective, impactful, and culturally responsive team of recruiting professionals that will grow as Dandelion continues to grow 
  • Talent Team and process: We do it all with great people and software, and we will count on you to build up a great team of internal and external team members and make the right choices for software, processes, and underlying infrastructure to run all of our recruiting efforts. 
  • Role creation: job descriptions, scorecards, etc.  Partner with the Management Team and hiring managers to specify roles and drive a disciplined process for making sure every time we start an interview process everyone involved is aligned as to what the role means, and what kind of candidate we are looking for
  • Planning: Work with the CFO and business partners to ensure that our hiring plans fit within our broader strategic plans, Annual Operating Plan, and dynamic business needs of our department hiring
  • Sourcing: bringing great candidates in to meet with our team is crucial. 
  • Advertising and Employer Brand: work with our marketing team to ensure that our recruiting brand is well represented and well defined. 
  • Evaluating: Lead the company in delivering a world-class interview process, both for evaluating candidates and providing them a great experience. Ensure that top candidates not only are a great match for the role but will also make an impact at Dandelion and share our vision and principles 
  • Closing and negotiation: Help us deliver a truly differentiated offer process, wooing candidates to join us, selling the value of our equity, total rewards, and more. 
  • Hitting the numbers: it all sums up to building an amazing company with amazing people, and doing it on pace to allow us to grow at the meteoric rate we are at.  

About You

  • 6+ years in-house recruiting experience with at least two years experience managing recruiters
  • Education: BA/BS degree, preferably from top-ranked university
  • Demonstrated ability to hit staffing targets
  • Experience building a strong and impactful recruiting and employer brand
  • Experience with managing an applicant tracking system
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects/priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Strong understanding of start-up growth stage and pre-public equity plans 
  • Knowledge of compensation, general HR requirements, and work visas
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire to grow as an empathetic leader alongside the Dandelion Energy Vision
