The opportunity

We are looking for an accountable Customer IT Operations Specialist to be responsible for supporting strategic multi-million projects related to grid modernization. Our Customer IT Operations Specialist will support the Professional Services team in scheduling, planning, developing, and implementing all the technical activities aiming at assuring successful solution implementation.

What will our new Customer IT Operations Specialist work on?

  • Support the Professional Services team with deploying Opus One’s GridOS software solutions for top tier utility customers around the world (both on-prem and cloud).
  • Work closely with customers to communicate technology requirements (hardware, software and networking) to successfully implement Opus One’s GridOS software suite.
  • Interact with customers to gather and document their technical deployment requirements, working closely with Opus One team members, including Project Managers, Solution Architects and Solutions Specialists
  • Support networking and IT infrastructure development as required for project integration.
  • Develop customized guides to help support customers during implementation, as well as more generic deployment documentation such as deployment best practices and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with Opus One project team members to develop and conduct acceptance testing plans (FAT, SAT, UAT) for hardware and software technology validation and project integration.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with customer’s project manager and other project participants to provide technical assistance and technical support as required during solution deployment.
  • Look for opportunities to streamline solution implementation processes, and continuously improve the customer experience.

Requirements

Here’s what you bring:

  • The education. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other IT/software-related programs.
  • The Experience. You have 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering software to clients and providing support throughout implementation.
  • Technical skills: Proficient in Linux, Docker containers, IP Networking, and Cloud Architecture (Azure/AWS), cybersecurity requirements
  • Customer Orientation. You strive to provide customers/clients with personalized and efficient service while anticipates their needs and quickly follows up on contacts and queries.
  • Communication skills. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and ability to create comprehensive technical documents.
  • Initiative. You are proactive in seizing opportunities and eager to act upon them immediately. You are serious about taking responsibility for your actions and love to address problems before asked.
  • Growth Mindset. You are curious and love to ask questions. You are a life-long learner and are constantly seeking opportunities to master your skills and gain new experiences.
  • Team Player. You enjoy collaborating with and supporting fellow team members, and have a “we before me” attitude.

Nice to have:

  • Electric utility or utility consulting experience.
