<h4>WHO WE ARE</h4>Solar Stewards is a social enterprise focused on the equitable development of solar energy. &nbsp; We believe in a market economy where sustainability and equity are intertwined, and where access and investment showcase this commitment. &nbsp; Based in the US, we work domestically and internationally to help corporations better engage stakeholders and demonstrate a commitment to environmental, societal, governance goals (ESG) with an innovative public-private-partnership for distributed generation solar development.An overview can be found here: <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://www.solarstewards.net">www.solarstewards.net</a><h4>POSITION SUMMARY</h4>The Communications Manager at Solar Stewards is passionate about equity and systemic change, and will look to tell the story of our social enterprise and most importantly our Community Partners and Climate Stewards along their respective journeys.&nbsp;This position will advocate for communities looking to facilitate community benefit agreements and renewable energy projects with news, information, and updates that serve historically excluded communities. In this role our communications manager will develop and implement communication strategies, both internally and externally. They are responsible for a variety of tasks, including:&nbsp;<ul><li>Creating content: Writing copy for newsletters, memos, press releases, blogs, and more</li><li>Managing media: Handling media inquiries and representing the organization at conferences and events&nbsp;</li><li>Maintaining brand consistency: Ensuring that all content adheres to the company's brand&nbsp;</li><li>Managing and monitoring communications channels to include:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Social media,&nbsp;</li><li>Websites,&nbsp;</li><li>Newsletters</li><li>White papers and thought leadership opportunities</li><li>Trade shows</li><li>Swag</li><li>and other external communication channels</li></ul></li><li>Working with senior management: Collaborating with executives to achieve organizational goals</li><li>Interviewing stakeholders for content</li><li>Managing crises: Ensuring effective communication during times of crisis&nbsp;</li><li>Building relationships: Fostering positive relationships with stakeholders&nbsp;</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Creativity and the ability to produce innovative ideas</li><li>Strong critical thinking skills</li><li>Proven project management skills</li><li>Leadership and teamwork skills</li><li>Digital proficiency</li><li>Experience in communications, public relations, or a related field</li></ul>
