As a Weather Simulation Engineer on the Computational Physics team at PassiveLogic, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced weather simulation models that integrate with our Digital Twin platform. You will be responsible for creating accurate and high-fidelity weather simulations to enable precise analysis and optimization of building systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meteorology, data science, and simulation techniques, along with a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology. What you’ll do<ul><li>Climate modeling: Design, implement, and optimize weather simulation, meteorological, and microclimate models.</li><li>Weather prediction: Provide weather prediction with contexts ranging from having an internet connection with forecast API access to no internet connection and only using locally observable information to forecast weather.</li><li>Autonomous agents: Develop an autonomous agent that combines data fusion with continuous model learning to enhance prediction accuracy.</li><li>Digital twin integration: Integrate weather simulation into PassiveLogic’s digital twins and control path predictor platform.</li><li>Object modeling: Develop an interface with the object model through Object Relational Mapping.</li><li>Data analysis: Analyze historical and real-time weather data and validate simulation results.</li><li>Optimization: Continuously optimize simulation algorithms for performance and scalability.</li><li>Documentation: Create thorough and clear documentation for weather simulation models, algorithms, and integration processes.</li></ul> What you’ll bringIf your experience does not meet all our posted requirements below, we’d still love to hear from you. If that’s you, please apply!You must have<ul><li>Proven experience: </li><ul><li>MS or Ph.D. in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Physics, Computer Science, Applied Math, or a related field.</li><li>You have developed and implemented weather simulation models from physics-based numerical models to AI and hybrid techniques.</li><li>Strong programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Swift, Python, Java, or C++.</li></ul><li>Exceptional communication skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset. </li><li>Organized and strategic: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Collaborative mindset: Open to feedback and committed to a continuous improvement process.</li><li>Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, eager to learn, iterate, and innovate.</li><li>Problem solving: You own this role.
