The Role

As Account Executive at Fastmarkets, you鈥檒l drive growth for accounts by selling innovative sponsorship and advertising solutions. With a deep understanding of our products, you鈥檒l effectively communicate their value to prospects, accelerate deal cycles, and pursue new business.

You are a proactive "sales hunter" with high emotional intelligence, skilled in understanding client needs, and dedicated to providing an outstanding customer experience. In this role, you'll support revenue growth across a number of our commodity sectors, focusing on both currentaccounts and new business.

Working closely with production and sales leadership, you鈥檒l manage your sales territory, exceed targets, and devise solutions that deliver growth for both Fastmarkets and our clients. Strong cross-functional collaboration and creative problem-solving are essential.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Achieve budgeted sponsorship sales targets for Fastmarkets Events by implementing a growth-oriented business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director on sponsorship revenue and sales goals, focusing on both retaining accounts and new sectors.
  • Define and drive the long-term growth strategy for Fastmarkets' events and thought-leadership products.
  • Develop and present robust data-driven strategic plans for the events you are responsible for, including detailed target customer landscapes, innovative sales inventories and milestone-driven plans to hit and exceed targets
  • Promote solutions to inventory and event production to mitigate revenue challenges and/or drive revenue to exceed budget
  • Build strong relationships with clients, selling value-based solutions and ensuring their satisfaction through consultative engagement.
  • Prepare custom proposals, negotiate packages, and manage deal timelines to close efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, consistently exceed sales targets, and regularly report progress to the Head of Sales.
  • Maximize revenue potential by nurturing both existing and new client relationships.

Key Interfaces
Work closely with Fastmarkets' production, marketing, editorial, finance, risk, compliance, and operations teams. Coordinate with cross-functional sales teams to maximize sales opportunities and align client strategy.
