Job Summary:
Dedicated Technical Liaison to act as the primary interface between engineering department and production floor / test field. The successful candidate will ensure accurate interpretation of engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), scripts, and design intent. This role is vital for supporting the shop floor with technical guidance and resolving any issues that arise during production.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the main point of contact between engineering and production teams.
Interpret and communicate engineering drawings, BOMs, scripts, and design intent to shop floor personnel in case of any ambiguity or questions.
Provide technical support and guidance to ensure accurate implementation of engineering designs.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise during production.
Collaborate with engineering to clarify design specifications and intent.
Develop and maintain documentation related to technical support and problem resolution and ensure a close loop with Engineering.
Conduct training sessions for shop floor staff on interpreting engineering documents and best practices.
Continuously improve communication processes between engineering and production teams.
Drive standardization and design for manufacturability concepts into the product design philosophy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor鈥檚 or Associate degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge of transformer design parameters and its significance in modifying or optimizing the design structure. Strong understanding of design-to-cost and design-to-manufacturing principles is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on technical support or liaison roles.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes in transformer industry.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems).
