An Associate Program Manager has co-ownership of at least one primary vehicle or hardware program. They share accountability for this program with a designated Program Manager. In addition, they have ownership of multiple smaller projects. They should execute projects with minimal supervision, including defining and maintaining project schedule and milestones. They should become familiar with software tools to assist with program management. They are responsible for ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned, and that project scope, schedule, and budget are all being maintained on a regular cadence. Associate Program Managers will be responsible for organizing and running meetings and for learning to tailor their communication to their audience. They will become familiar with when to escalate emergent issues and to whom. This role will primarily support Bird's retail vehicle programs but will have opportunities to support rideshare vehicle programs & projects over time.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders via written communication and meetings to ensure project / program is executed efficiently.
  • Maintain project / program documentation such as schedule, issue trackers, written updates, and vendor deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and functional managers to ensure proper prioritization of individual contributors with reasonable deadlines.
  • Assist Program Managers to scope new projects and programs.
  • Assist Program Managers to ensure completion of required certifications.
  • Build relationships and become familiar with Bird's business, processes, and tools.

Requirements

  • At least a B.S. in technical or engineering discipline
  • At least 1 year in project or program management
  • Effective written & verbal communication; experience running meetings; expert in Gsuite / MSOffice Suite tools; adaptive to new software tools
