You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge solutions to life, contributing to the advancement of our products and technologies. If you are passionate about engineering and eager to make a significant impact, we would love to hear from you!   Key Responsibilities: Technical Proficiency <ul><li>Create and refine CAD (Inventor) models for new and existing equipment  </li></ul><ul><li>Identify operational and equipment design deficiencies and corrective action opportunities in running equipment/plants </li></ul><ul><li>Design and build research and development scale equipment for the R&amp;D team </li></ul><ul><li>Provide technical feedback to the Business Development team on new plant proposals </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with the site operations manager to develop appropriate repair scopes and upgrades for the pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical &amp; rotating equipment </li></ul><ul><li>Assist with the development of internal engineering best practices, and standards.</li></ul>Vendor Management <ul><li>Participate in vendor engagement and selection; manage relationships with vendors </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in client site visits for new project assessments and design integration </li></ul><ul><li>Qualify external contractors, SMEs, and EPC organizations for current and future processing plants around the world  </li></ul>Stakeholder Engagement <ul><li>Represent Carbon Upcycling in client facing discussions including managing technical discussions with clients </li></ul><ul><li>Assist in performing field inspection and signoff of completed installation packages at client sites </li></ul><ul><li>Prepare request for information and request for quotation packages  </li></ul>Budgeting <ul><li>Assist in quarterly budget updates and the planning of future equipment/programs </li></ul>Project Management <ul><li>Ability to manage projects, including preparing cost estimates, design specifications, and timelines </li></ul><ul><li>Support the lead mechanical engineer in various tasks, including plant design, vendor equipment customization, in-house manufactured equipment assembly designs, project management, and facilitating engineering team meetings. </li></ul>Health &amp; Safety <ul><li>Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental protocols, ensuring all operations follow company and regulatory standards.  </li></ul><ul><li>Wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including respiratory masks, gloves, and protective clothing (provided) </li></ul><ul><li>Report any safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to supervisors and participate in the investigation and resolution of safety-related issues </li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred </li></ul><ul><li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) Registered with APEGA </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of five (5) years of mechanical design experience </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience with 3D CAD modelling and Finite Element A Analysis (FEA) </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of sustainable engineering practices, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction technologies </li></ul><ul><li>Expertise in problem analysis, problem-solving and design thinking </li></ul><ul><li>Effective technical communication skills, both oral and written </li></ul><ul><li>Detail oriented with strong organizational skill </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of safe work procedures </li></ul><ul><li>Intermediate – advanced computer skills (Office 365) </li></ul><ul><li>High emotional intelligence in engaging multiple stakeholders </li></ul><ul><li>Previous experience in a similar role for a start-up company is considered an asset </li><li>Ability to manage projects, including preparing cost estimates, design specifications, and timelines </li></ul></div></div>
