Through our relentless pursuit of better, we are decarbonizing our planet at the gigaton level, and bringing the advantages of clean energy to all of us. ABOUT THE POSITION:The Sr. Director, Asset Management will be responsible for managing P&amp;L and commercial contracts of multiple utility-scale solar PV projects currently operational, and additional PV and PV+Storage assets that Avantus owns in our portfolio moving forward. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This role is responsible for developing and executing profit maximization strategies for contracted assets, as well as managing the future hedging and trading of merchant assets. The position requires regular interaction and coordination with various stakeholders to optimize asset performance and ensure strategic alignment. Additionally, the role involves coordinating across the organization to facilitate the seamless onboarding of new assets and implementing asset optimization strategies to enhance operational efficiency and financial returns.<ul><li>Oversee and project manage all technical and financial aspects of operational projects for growing portfolio of projects.</li><li>Manage asset performance reviews, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting the profitability of the assets on a monthly basis. Prepare executive presentations as required.</li><li>Coordinate and manage asset needs and deliverables across internal SMEs, external 3rd party contractors, and key external stake holders related to performance and operational considerations, project contractual obligations, and vendor and project warranties and guarantees.</li><li>Support development of asset management strategy and growth, helping to establish strong industry partners for O&amp;M, AM, and Energy Management/Trading Services for our portfolio of assets.</li><li>Responsible for day-to-day monitoring of plant conditions, plant and fleet operational performance, operations and maintenance of the physical assets, root cause analysis, project planning prior to operations, overseeing third-party vendors to ensure high level of service, and implementation of solar PV and energy storage best practices.</li><li>Ensure compliance with power purchase agreements, project debt and tax equity financing covenants, and FERC &amp; NERC reporting requirements.</li><li>Develop and execute project profit maximization strategies, coordinating with internal SMEs and external traders and marketers to maximize the asset value.</li><li>Perform shared facilities management role for current and future projects per terms of the co-tenancy and interconnection agreements.</li><li>Coordinate with internal Engineering, Construction, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Energy Markets groups to ensure a seamless transition from construction to commercial operation of the assets, and as needed for asset profit optimization considerations.</li><li>Coordinate with technical teams to identify and implement asset improvement initiatives.</li><li>Monitor and analyze projects’ financial performance by tracking KPIs, expense and revenue variances, address variances, and offer recommendations for improvement.</li><li>Support regulatory and legislative initiatives in coordination with the trade groups and internal subject matter experts.</li><li>Support cross-functional teams in the resolution of material issues impacting the assets such as commercial disputes, warranty claims, environmental or regulatory violations, and tax matters.</li><li>Maintain close working relationships with partners, customers, financial institutions, regulatory agencies, and trade organizations.</li><li>Assist in the development of strategic business plans, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, building relationships with off-takers, landowners, and local and state tax jurisdictions.</li></ul> REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, or business.
