AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to be based in our Arlington, VA office.
This position is expected to begin on June 2025.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following items:
Performs specific portions of a broader assignment under the mentoring of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and construction drawings.
Evaluate, select, apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and judgement based on experience to design HVAC systems in buildings using building information modeling.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
Performs work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete the primary design elements for engineering works.
