Function as a member of the Laboratory鈥檚 deployed safety services team. Communicate and support line management with the implementation of health, safety and environmental requirements and programs within your assigned area(s). Work in partnership with line management, researchers, workers, and other safety professionals providing hands-on technical assistance and consultative support to deliver best-in-class solutions consistent with Argonne鈥檚 integrated safety management processes. Participate in hazard and risk mitigation analyses, share best practices, and serve as a local and field site ESH resource.
Provide expertise, leadership, coordination, and guidance to ensure compliance with Argonne environment, safety and health (ES&H) policies and initiatives, DOE orders, and OSHA regulations. Coordinate and develop solutions associated with concerns or deficiencies from safety reviews, internal/external assessments, audits, facility/equipment inspections, and hazard evaluations. Support the development of work planning and control documentation. Lead or participate in event investigations and management assessments.
Evaluate and analyze energy, technological, emergency management, and environmental systems from a multidisciplinary perspective in both laboratory and field work environments.

Full timeThe expected hiring range for this position is $83,264.00 - $131,343.03.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
