We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</div>What you’ll do: <ul><li>Design and develop in-house software for automated test systems across platforms, including powertrain HIL systems, high-voltage engine simulators, and test equipment for power electronics and mechanical components</li><li>Build and maintain high-speed data acquisition systems with integrated fault detection using Python libraries (NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, pandas)</li><li>Develop intuitive test interfaces using Python and PySide/PyQt</li><li>Create robust data processing pipelines</li><li>Analyze test data and generate clear, actionable reports to support engineering decisions</li><li>Manage test code with Git and implement CI/CD pipelines for test automation</li><li>Support and enhance National Instruments-based systems (VeriStand, PXI, etc.)</li><li>Develop and deploy real-time test software on Linux platforms</li><li>Train and mentor lab technicians on test systems and troubleshooting</li></ul>What you need:<ul><li>B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field</li><li>4+ years of experience in hardware test automation</li><li>Expert-level proficiency in Python, particularly for hardware-focused applications</li><li>Experience with PySide or PyQt for GUI development</li><li>Strong background in Linux environments</li><li>Experience with high-speed data acquisition systems</li><li>Proficiency with Git version control</li><li>Solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems</li><li>Experience with or willingness to learn NI hardware and software (e.g., VeriStand, PXI)</li><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills</li><li>Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN bus, XCP, UDP, and Modbus</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Knowledge of HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing methodologies</li><li>Understanding of safety-critical system testing requirements</li><li>Experience with Python testing frameworks (pytest, unittest)</li><li>Experience with real-time Linux systems</li><li>Familiarity with SQL and database integration for test data</li></ul>At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $122,000 - $150,000.
