Solar Project Manager II

We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring.</div>&nbsp;Summary:&nbsp; &nbsp;The Project Manager II – Solar is a site-based project management role that oversees and drives utility-scale solar projects. &nbsp;&nbsp;Requirements: &nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Client Relationship Management Accountabilities: <ul><li>Provides excellence in the management and delivery of the project in line with the client’s expectations.&nbsp;</li><li>Strengthens and continually maintains client relationships.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Planning: <ul><li>Manages the project plan and hosts kick-off, update, and closeout meetings.</li><li>Manages project-required construction permits as a prerequisite for project inception.</li><li>Manages and maintains the project schedule from preconstruction to project closeout.</li></ul></li><li>Budget: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <ul><li>Allocates budget, costs to date, forecasts cost to completion, procurement, and materials management.</li></ul></li><li>Contract: <ul><li>Manages Contracts and Change orders. &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Manages purchases of project-related materials and equipment.</li><li>Maintains a complete understanding of all contractual obligations for the project and documentation of variances.</li><li>Ensures that the overall terms of the main contract are passed on to the subcontracts.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensures the project team and all associated subcontractors understand and adhere to the client contract, related exhibits, and project-specific agreements.</li></ul></li><li>Leadership: <ul><li>Supports recruiting and hiring of outstanding talent.</li><li>Directs, guides, and coaches discipline managers to ensure site activities are understood and follow established processes through quality checks.</li><li>Follows processes for systems and communication lines on site and ensures implementation is consistent.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicates variances to clients and executive management. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Manages site personnel.</li><li>Creates a culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Manages rotation schedule to ensure proper staffing coverage during project construction.&nbsp;</li><li>Utilizes Safety Management Systems (SMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and technical procedures.</li><li>Performs audit functions to ensure compliance.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides a positive and engaging work environment by:</li><li>Aligning individual and team objectives to department and company objectives.&nbsp;</li><li>Managing and supporting employee development and growth.&nbsp;</li><li>Offering regular and direct feedback on performance and goal progress.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>QA/QC: <ul><li>Manages quality control program to ensure processes are consistent and implemented according to the plan.</li></ul></li><li>Environment: <ul><li>Provides the required documents, drawings, and other forms to active projects for monitoring and maintaining the EMS.</li><li>Supports developing projects to complete all required permitting activities before commencement.</li><li>Ensures training is provided and certifications are maintained on field staff to comply with EMS requirements.</li></ul></li><li>Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.</li><li>Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies &amp; Procedures.</li><li>Participates in additional projects as assigned by Director and VP. &nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;Safety:&nbsp;<ul><li>Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. &nbsp;Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.&nbsp;</li><li>Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.</li><li>Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working.</li><li>Accountable to continually reinforce safe behaviors and correct “at risk” behaviors.</li><li>Adheres to and ensures all site team members understands standard operating procedures.</li><li>Leads and supports the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing system in place.</li></ul>&nbsp;Leadership: &nbsp;<ul><li>Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.</li><li>Manages one or more direct reports.</li><li>Participates in hiring and selection process to fill positions on the team.</li><li>Communicates regularly with direct reports on goals, accomplishments, and information on policies.</li><li>Demonstrates leadership and expertise in eyes of client group.</li><li>Employee Development: </li><li>Provides tasks and assignments that challenge and stretch employees’ responsibilities.</li><li>Conducts regular discussions with employee(s) on personal development.
