Job Description

The Project & Opportunity:


Sydney Metro West – Central Tunnelling Package includes the delivery of twin 11 kilometre tunnels and excavation of five station boxes at Sydney Olympic Park, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock and The Bays.


For this project, the Assistant Commercial Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, improving and auditing the Project’s commercial administrative records; including commercial document control and the commercial records keeping system while also providing administrative support to the Commercial function of the Project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop relationships with project personnel and external stakeholders to achieve and maintain a collaborative working environment

  • Ability to ensure accuracy and authenticity of records and contract documents

  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills to ensure all work is completed in the required timeframe

  • Ensure that all executed contracts have been received, scanned, saved into the appropriate location and logged in the Document Register

  • Manage the shared drive to ensure all relevant electronic files are consistently stored and uploaded to the relevant systems

  • Review and check subcontract documents and correspondence have the required Project approvals in accordance with the Project Approval Matrix prior to these documents being distributed to relevant stakeholders


Required Skills and Competencies

  • Tertiary Qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering or similar discipline

  • General Construction Induction (White Card)

  • 1+ year experience working in a similar role

  • Knowledge of business administration

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work within challenging timeframes


The salary range for the position is $85,000 - $95,000.
