Key Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance / commerce / management with Finance/Accounting/Business Administration / Economics/ Mathematics /Statistics with minimum experience of 7 years in Execution of Construction projects of railway / metro /Any SPV with Ministry of Railways / RVNL/RITES/IRCON/ DFCCIL / Multi Modal Transport hub / Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) / High Speed Rail (HSR) / monorail.
OR
(ii)At least 7 years’ experience of working as SO/SSO or equivalent Grade and above in Accounts department of Railways and /or as Assistant Manager and above in Accounts department in RITES/IRCON/RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/MRVC/DFCCIL any JVs or SPVs with Ministry of Railways, any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined.
Job Descriptions:
Oversee the financial execution and budgeting of large-scale construction projects in the railway, metro, and transportation sectors.
Prepare and monitor project financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and cost estimates to ensure financial efficiency.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, government policies, and accounting standards applicable to railway and metro projects.
Manage cost control, audits, financial reporting, and risk assessment to optimize project expenditures.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders for effective financial planning and resource allocation.
Handle fund management, procurement payments, and contract settlements for infrastructure projects.
Support in tender evaluation, bid preparation, and contract financial negotiations.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure smooth coordination with regulatory authorities, tax departments, and financial auditors.
Implement financial controls and track expenditures to avoid budget overruns.
Provide financial insights and recommendations for project efficiency and cost optimization.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, taxation, and cost control in construction and infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in financial software (SAP, Tally, ERP, or similar platforms).
Experience in public sector finance, contract management, and procurement procedures.
Familiarity with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), government regulations, and financial policies related to railway/metro projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex financial data.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities for stakeholder coordination.
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
