As a Solutions Expert for our SaaS platform, you will find yourself at the thrilling junction of renewable energy, technology and engineering. Your role will be crucial to support our customer success, sales and operation teams to discover, define, and deliver customer value through the integration of our asset performance management solution called 'SynaptiQ'. You will take charge of demonstrating the technical prowess and significant benefits of SynaptiQ, navigating customers through their purchasing journey and highlighting how our solutions cater to their specific needs.

After the initial 'presales' phase, you'll maintain a close collaboration with sales managers as they handle contract negotiations and finalize deals. Once prospects transition into clients, you will step in to facilitate a seamless customer onboarding experience, working alongside our Operations team. You’ll also keep the lines of communication open with clients to gather valuable feedback that serves as a cornerstone for our Innovation and Product Management teams in shaping the future product requirements.

We’re currently in the process of expanding our US organization, which means you will collaborate with two sales managers in the US, a solutions delivery manager in Raleigh, and our headquarters in Brussels, who will provide you with essential operational support as we continue to grow (y)our local team. Expect remote work, international collaboration, clear communication, and independent working to be integral parts of your daily routine.

What you’ll do:

  • You understand customer challenges and can quickly get up and running to articulate the value of our SaaS solutions, driving technical buy-in throughout the sales cycle.
  • You capture diligently existing customer workflows and data processes in order to guide them to efficiency gains and yield optimization through digitalisation.
  • You advocate industrial best-practices for SCADA system management, OT/IT data infrastructure, O&M and asset management workflows and performance optimization.
  • You deliver compelling product demos and proofs of concept tailored to customer needs.
  • You gather and analyze customer use cases, aligning them with SynaptiQ’s capabilities and standard processes.
  • You partner with Product Management to share customer insights and propose product enhancements.
  • You optimize workflows between Sales, Operations, and R&D for efficiency and scalability.
  • You lead the technical response to RFPs and RFIs, showcasing our competitive edge.

Requirements

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic technical and commercial trailblazer who is deeply passionate about renewable energy and excels at delivering exceptional value to customers. They should possess a robust blend of technical proficiency, sales expertise, and extensive experience in the renewable energy sector (preferably solar and/or storage), allowing for engaging discussions and thorough needs assessments with industry leaders. We need someone who flourishes in a fast-paced environment where technical know-how and commercial insight converge to drive impact.

Our ideal candidate comes with:

  • A degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in the renewable energy sector, with at least 1 year in a technical sales or sales engineering role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience working across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of operational workflows in renewable energy control centers and technical performance management. 
  • An independent and results-oriented mindset, a"get things done" attitude.
  • You love interacting and are ready and happy to share your sector knowledge with (future) colleagues, as well as dive deep into both technical and less technical conversations with prospects and clients.
  • An address Raleigh, NC, with at least 3 days per week in the office. Willingness to travel domestically (tradeshows, events and prospect/customer visits) and internationally (e.g., to our Brussels HQ).
