ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Use Data Acquisition for identification of performance issues and detailed analysis of system performance and equipment operation.</li><li>Perform visual, mechanical, electrical inspection, maintenance and testing of a variety of commercial and industrial solar systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, communication issues, and develop corrective action plans.</li><li>Perform commissioning and audit services for Solar electric systems.</li><li>Ensure that all Operations and Maintenance activities performed at project sites complies with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) requirements and warranties.</li><li>Operate in 600Vac, 1500Vdc situations safely without direct supervision.</li><li>Provide timely electronic reports of field services provided and proactive feedback to entire ESS team.</li><li>Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other nonconformances on site. Document time, material and travel expenses for the completion of daily responsibilities.</li><li>Communicate effectively with internal team, third-party vendors, and actively participate in team meetings.</li><li>Note general field conditions on site, including vegetation management issues, security risks, and debris impacts.</li><li>Able to travel on short notice and be available during non-traditional working hours.</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; Degree or technical certification in related electrical field.</li><li>NABCEP certified PV Installer Specialist or PV Commissioning &amp; Maintenance Specialist preferred.</li><li>Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master) preferred.</li><li>Two (2) to Four (4) years of demonstrated experience operating and maintaining electrical systems.</li><li>Experience with power generation, solar technologies </li><li>Valid driver’s license.</li><li>Familiarity with Pronto Forms preferred.</li><li>OSHA 10-Hour certification required, OSHA 30-Hour, strongly preferred.</li><li>Must be based out of the Richmond, VA area and willing to travel.</li></ul>  SKILLS:<ul><li>Ability to work independently and ask for guidance when needed.</li><li>Experienced working with electrical systems and solar photovoltaics.</li><li>Comfortable operating in low voltage and non-hazardous situations without direct supervision.</li><li>Able to safely identify and mitigate hazardous situations.</li><li>Knowledge of I/V curve tracing software and thermographic analysis preferred.</li><li>Proficient troubleshooting with Isolation Diagnostics Equipment (i.e., Megger or Isolation testers)</li><li>Ability to interpret and comprehend PV System As-built drawings and electrical single lines.</li><li>Strong written/verbal communication skills.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.</li><li>Have a strong attention to detail.</li><li>Be a self-starter with strong time management skills.</li><li>Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems.</li></ul> PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>Be able to drive a vehicle confidently and with a high degree of safety.</li><li>Be able to stand for long periods of time and walk distances up to three miles a day.</li><li>Be able to navigate ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps while maintaining 3 points of contact.</li><li>Have the visual acuity for depth perception, no field of vision issues, and to distinguish between colors.</li><li>Be comfortable working in a variety of climate conditions which may include but are not limited to, extreme heat (temperatures above 100°F) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32°F) for periods of more than one hour.</li><li>Be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</li></ul>  The expected annual compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000, encompassing base pay and potential incentive target opportunity.
