Shift/Hours/Location: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, Mesa, AZ

 

Under the direction of the Production/Maintenance Supervisor, the Chemical Operator may work independently and with other department’s team members to accomplish the goals of the Manufacturing Department and MLI. In general, tasks involve cleaning the manufacturing work area, prepping containers, formulating, and packaging product. The Chemical Operator will always demonstrate professional appearance, behavior, and attitude while performing his/her job duties.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

  • Prepare product containers (bottles, drums, totes, etc.) for filling referencing all appropriate specs and work orders.
  • Formulate and batch products according to customer specifications.
  • Fill container with products following clean room requirements.
  • Document plant processes and record production data.
  • Be able to identify potential threats and escalate them correctly.
  • Monitor the production process and ensures efficiency of systems and equipment.
  • Mentor Chemical Operators in accordance with MLI code of conduct, procedures, etc.
  • Prepare product for shipment.
  • Use correct tool/ergonomics when handling or moving any raw materials, chemicals, components, equipment or finished goods.
  • Stock product and packaging supplies.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe clean work environment utilizing 5s standards.
  • Perform necessary tasks and work hours needed to accomplish departmental and company goals.  
  • Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.”
  • Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations.
  • Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required.  It is the employee’s commitment to ensure that the Company’s current practices and procedures are exercised as directed.
  • Uphold the Manufacturing Attendance Policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support and sustain a high performing team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Electric Pallet Truck certification.
  • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
  • Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
    • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously to meet established deadlines.
    • Work as a team and/or independently.
    • Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of chemical manufacturing experience.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $22hr - $25hr

WORKING CONDITIONS

Duties are generally performed indoors in a high purity manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. When working in the presence of safety hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protective equipment such as: hardhat, safety glasses and full leather shoes, etc. Employees will work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gasses that have a potential for fire or explosion. Employees working in this environment are required to be free from devices that are not considered intrinsically safe. Examples of devices that may not be intrinsically safe include Insulin Pumps, Pacemakers, Pain Management devices, etc.
