Our team looks for data-driven and fact-based mindsets, engaging and collaborative behaviors, and personal growth-focused professionals.     In order for the global energy system to make the transition from a carbon-based grid, to a renewable energy grid, large scale energy storage must be introduced into the electricity system to balance intra-hour supply and demand.  Energy storage is the enabler of high penetration variable renewable generation like solar and wind. We are looking for a CloudOps Engineer to join our growing team.  Our internal clients include Plant Managers, Data Scientists, Quantitative Analysts, and Power Trading teams - all of whom need reliable and convenient access, at scale, to well-managed, thoughtfully curated data.  Our success will maximize Plus Power's ability to efficiently develop, build, deploy, and operate Battery Energy Storage Sites, and to optimally participate in grid-stabilizing financial Power Markets.   Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Partner with internal client teams to understand their business needs and design, implement, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure solutions. </li><li>Implement and maintain automated processes to create, release and maintain cloud infrastructure and software applications. </li><li>Implement DevOps/CloudOps best practices to provide secure, cost-optimized and reliable systems. </li><li>Provide support to software and data science teams and troubleshoot incidents in production  </li></ul> Skills &amp; Qualifications <ul><li>Minimum BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Science or related field </li><li>2+ years of experience in modern DevOps development and cloud environments </li><li>Experience managing cloud-based systems using AWS, EKS, ECS, VPC, S3, Sagemaker, Lambda, MWAA, IAM, CloudWatch using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation </li><li>Experience configuring and managing observability and alerting  platforms such as DataDog or CloudWatch </li><li>Experience creating DevOps pipelines to build and deploy code, using GIT repositories, GitHub Actions and related tools </li><li>Experience with containerized environments and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. </li><li>Experience securing cloud environments, networks and development lifecycles </li><li>Scripting with bash and/or Python </li><li>Basic knowledge of DB Management and best practices, PostgreSQL, MySQL, RDS, AuroraDB </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Experience working in an agile environment.
