The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning.
Mission Statement :
The CAD Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing automated CAD workflows, ensuring design accuracy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. CAD Automation Engineer will be reporting to team manager of INOPC PGTR Engineering & Technology team
Your Responsibilities:
As member of a R&D global team, responsible for creation of automated design solutions
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to optimize CAD design processes.
Collaborate with product owners, designers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities for automation.
Analyse existing workflows and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Conduct testing and validation of automated solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Troubleshoot issues with automation script and tools and implement solutions to ensure smooth operation.
Collaborate with software developers to integrate CAD automation tools with other engineering software and systems.
Collaborate with product owners and various stakeholders to create product sales & engineering configurators.
Facilitate communication between internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Take ownership of CAD modelling and detailing tasks, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.

Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 3-6 years of experience
Exposure to use of 3D CAD modelling tool Creo Parametric
CAD automation, Pro-program skills. Basic programming skills.
Product Configuration knowledge
Hands on experience in PLM (Windchill)
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and CAD software functionality
Knowledge of relevant international standards (ISO, ANSI, ASME)
Strong analytical skills, experience in data analysis and management
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with business, product owners, developers, and end users from different areas and different regions/cultures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Tasks and time self-management
Demonstrated ability to learn Engineering Design tools.
At least 3 years or more of relevant work experience in Transformer or similar industries.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
