Join one of the fastest-growing areas at Hitachi Energy! As a Technical Support Specialist for Transformer Service, you will be a key player in our US Transformer HUB, reporting to the Field Operation Manager – Data Center. Your expertise and hands-on experience will not only help you build strong customer relationships but also uncover new business opportunities. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact through rapid response, performance improvement, and operational efficiency.
Deliver outstanding and professional service, both remotely and on-site.
Install and commission transformer hardware, sensors, and accessories.
Ensure physical communication connectivity, configuration, testing, and validation.
Integrate and configure transformer software, including license initialization and firmware upgrades.
Act as the onsite point of contact for customers and subcontractors during project execution.
Strategically assign tasks to crew members to optimize cost and project duration.
Test SEL relays using Omicron relay test sets or equivalent tools.
Perform electrical testing of transformers and reactors, including bushing power factor, core megger, CT ratio, and more.
Associate Degree with 3 years of professional experience or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of professional experience.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 85%.
Physical fitness for duty.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Background in data center fieldwork is a plus.
