We believe that the best way to solve complicated dynamic problems is collaboratively and respectfully.As a Software Engineer on the Infrastructure team, you'll be be building the tools used to create Serve’s software. You’ll collect build system metrics and use them to build solutions to improve the performance and reliability. You’ll also work closely with the Platform and Autonomy teams to identify workflow inefficiencies and design tools to increase development velocity.Responsibilities<ul style=""><li>Build, maintain and improve our Bazel based build system.</li><li>Develop reliable, efficient and scalable continuous integration infrastructure.</li><li>Instrument and profile the system to identify bottlenecks and improve performance.</li><li>Troubleshoot and root cause build issues and develop solutions to increase robustness.</li><li>Provide guidance and best practices for effectively utilizing the build systems and related tooling.</li><li>Identify developer pain points and develop tools to solve the problems.</li><li>Support hardware in the loop test infrastructure.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul style=""><li>3+ years of experience using Bazel for multi-language builds.</li><li>3+ years of experience developing in C++ and one scripting language such as Python or Bash.</li><li>Experience with continuous integration platforms such as Github Actions, Buildkite, Drone, or similar.</li><li>Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.</li><li>Experience with containerization using Docker.</li></ul>What makes you stand out<ul style=""><li>Experience with Bazel caching mechanisms, remote build execution, platforms, and toolchains.</li><li>Experience with building and deploying Linux images for embedded devices.</li><li>Passion for robotics and developer experience.</li></ul>
