As a leader in renewable energy solutions, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and service. We are seeking a Plan Review Manager to oversee the quality and efficiency of our plans review process, ensuring seamless collaboration between our internal teams and drafting vendors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance:
    • Manage the review and quality control (QC) process for solar and electrical plans.
    • Ensure compliance with company standards, national electrical codes, and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requirements.
  • Pipeline Management:
    • Oversee the flow of projects between internal teams and external drafting vendors.
    • Optimize processes to minimize delays and maximize efficiency in project timelines.
  • Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the drafting vendor, providing clear expectations, feedback, and resolution of any discrepancies.
    • Work closely with engineering, permitting, and construction teams to align plan reviews with project needs.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide training and support to internal reviewers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Address escalations from team members regarding plan discrepancies or technical challenges.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years in plans examining and drafting, preferably in solar and electrical systems.
    • Familiarity with residential and commercial solar designs.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements and other applicable building codes.
    • Proficient in reviewing electrical single-line diagrams, structural calculations, and PV system layouts.
    • Experience with permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to lead and mentor a team while ensuring operational goals are met.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NABCEP Certification or equivalent industry certification.
  • Experience working with AHJs across multiple states.
  • Familiarity with project management software and drafting tools.
