The Opportuninty
Hitachi Energy in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, is seeking a Communications Specialist who will provide support to the Country Marketing and Communications Team Leader in Mexico and the global Shared Services Communications manager with various tasks and activities. A successful candidate is resourceful and passionate about communications and building an employee brand and employee relations. He/she will also perform other administrative duties and conduct special assignments to assist managers in administering their operations. This position will directly report into the communications manager in global CSS (shared services) and Mexico country communications manager.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Works closely with the global Shared Services team to plan and execute internal communications campaigns and activities
- Supports Mexico Marketing and Communications Team Leader with developing internal/external communication materials: social media materials, newsletters, flyers, advertising materials, etc.
- Builds and maintains relationships with members of the community
- Plans, develops, implements, and organizes internal and external events: townhalls, tradeshows and conferences
- Plans and executes employee engagement activities that help build a strong culture and employee morale
- Help with writing, editing and proofreading internal/external communications materials such as articles, blogs, website content, etc
- Perform other tasks as required by the organization
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or Business or other related field and 2 to 5 years of work experience, preferably in marketing, communications or HR.
- Passion for employee engagement and communications
- A strong understanding of social media tools and platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram)
- A passion for learning new technologies, strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and project management skills able to prioritize and balance workload
- Ability to work well independently and with a team, with good time management and strong attention to detail
- (Preferred) Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Spark, After Effects and Premiere
- Languages required: fluency in English and Spanish
