This role is pivotal in shaping how we engage and grow these corporate relationships—ensuring our partnerships deliver tangible impact for both startups and partners.
The Role
We’re looking for a commercially minded Partnership Lead to manage our partnership strategy. You’ll drive high-value collaborations, ensuring our startups get meaningful corporate conversations while reshaping how we engage partners for long-term impact.
You’ll work across sales, strategy, and execution, ensuring our partnerships are high-value, high-impact, and scalable. You’ll move seamlessly between structuring commercial deals, storytelling to senior stakeholders, and executing on-the-ground activations.
Key Responsibilities
Growth
- Evolve the partnership strategy—ensuring alignment with Carbon13’s mission and venture needs.
- Identify and engage new strategic partners to accelerate the commercialisation of our startups.
Driving Impact for Startups
- Ensure our entrepreneurs get pilot opportunities and meaningful conversations with corporates.
- Work closely with our portfolio founders to translate their innovation into compelling stories to inspire partners and their broader organisation.
- Develop high-impact activations that connect startups and corporates in ways that drive tangible outcomes.
Partner Engagement & Execution
- Own and manage high-profile partner relationships, ensuring strong engagement at all levels.
- Run commercial negotiations and deal structuring with new and existing partners.
- Develop compelling pitches, proposals, and strategic narratives for partners.
- Drive co-marketing initiatives, leveraging partner networks to amplify Carbon13’s impact.
- Track and measure partnership performance, ensuring continuous improvement. Providing reports to SLT and stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
Requirements
- Proven track record of driving corporate/commercial partnerships in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent project management skills – with the ability to anticipate challenges and problem-solve proactively across multiple projects.
- Experience engaging with senior corporate stakeholders, navigating complex organizations.
- Strong commercial acumen—able to structure partnerships that drive real outcomes.
- Excellent storytelling and pitch creation skills—capable of turning deep-tech ideas and technologies into compelling stories for non-technical folk.
- High attention to detail—able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Digital marketing expertise—leveraging content & campaigns to support partner engagement.
- HubSpot, CRM & analytics skills.
- A passion for climate and venture building, with a mindset for innovation.
Ideal Experience:
- Experience working in a venture builder, accelerator, or Climate startup.
