Founded in 2019, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.</div></div></div></div></div></div>Essential Duties:The Electrical Reliability Engineer at Redwood Materials is critical to growing and sustaining commercial operations in the battery recycling and refining production lines at the McCarran, NV, USA site by improving asset strategies and investigating electrical equipment failures. The role will support new and existing production equipment, and drive projects to improve the availability of the equipment across production lines. Responsibilities Will Include:<ul><li style="font-size:12pt;">Design and improve electrical equipment preventive maintenance strategies to minimize production downtime and cost of maintenance</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Evaluates condition monitoring data and implements new technology to improve effectiveness and value of electrical equipment condition monitoring program</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Identify spare parts and ensure cost-effective stocking to prevent extended downtime</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Facilitate Root Cause Analysis and RCM studies for events that meet the threshold triggers, involving cross-functional teams as necessary to implement preventive countermeasures</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Coordinate with industry technical experts and contract personnel on electrical equipment reliability-related improvement efforts</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Work collaboratively with Maintenance, Design, Operations, Production Engineering and Controls and other cross functional teams to ensure production equipment runs in a safe, efficient manner with minimal downtime</li></ul>Desired Qualifications:<ul><li style="font-size:12pt;">B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline preferred</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">3 – 5 years of experience in an industrial plant operations environment</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">CMRP certification is preferred</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices</li></ul>Physical Requirements: <ul><li style="font-size:12pt;">Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Must be able to use a full-face respirator and powered air purifying respirator (PAPR)</li></ul>Working Conditions: <ul><li style="font-size:12pt;">Comfortable working around hazardous waste and hazardous materials with appropriate PPE.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Some equipment is located outdoors.</li></ul><div>The position is full-time.
