This senior-level role will design, coordinate, and implement auxiliary and infrastructure systems. The position is based in Oakland, California. Required Skills and Knowledge:Experience<ul><li>5–10 years of experience in Infrastructure and Auxiliary Works within the railway engineering context, including brownfield projects.</li><li>Proven experience in infrastructure construction and civil installation design.</li><li>Full-cycle experience in test and commissioning phases.</li></ul>Technical Expertise<ul><li>Strong knowledge of auxiliary mechanical and electrical systems (design, installation, commissioning).</li><li>Familiarity with contract management, interface coordination, and compliance processes.</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Autodesk Revit or 3D software is a plus.</li></ul><div></div>Soft Skills:<ul><li>Strong organizational and communication skills.</li><li>Effective team player with a collaborative mindset.</li><li>Flexible and willing to travel or relocate as needed.</li></ul><div></div>Educational Qualifications:<ul><li>Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/ University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background</li></ul>Languages:<ul><li>Fluent in English, both written and verbal.</li></ul>In accordance with the DOT’s FRA and FTA programs, Hitachi’s substance screening program tests pre-employment candidates and current employees, as required for safety-sensitive positions.
