OUR BUSINESS

We deliver light electric vehicle fleet solutions (vehicle, maintenance) to various last mile delivery actors: grocery, food, parcels as well as consumers. We design and develop vehicles, contract manufacture and deliver them to our customers across the globe, then we keep them on the road thanks to our maintenance service.

THE ROLE

This role is a pivotal position for Zoomo US ambitious expansion plans. You will own the entire US logistic process end-to-end from custom clearance to delivering Zoomo vehicle & spare parts to Zoomo Fleet teams. You will strategically assess warehousing needs temporary or long term. You will identify and secure the right logistics partners for Zoomo to scale (3PL, Haulage companies) with full accountability on cost. Last but not least, you will be the relay for handling quality issues in the field and warranty return liaising directly with central team. We are looking for someone who's been there, capable of building a function from scratch, work at pace and build a high performing team to quarterback our expansion. The center of gravity for this position is NYC but may change as the company expands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage regional supply and distribution plans of vehicle & parts to support Zoomo US growth
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and quality across Zoomo US
  • Liaise and negotiate with local suppliers & logistics service providers
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Champion the roll-out of an ERP and Zoomo inventory systems.
  • Devise continental supply chain continuity tactic through inventory level optimisation and redundancies
  • Resolve any arising quality & DIFOT problems.
  • Hire, train & manage logistics, warehouse and quality workforce
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements

Requirements

  • BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • 5+ years of working experience in a logistics position with continental responsibility in a high growth company
  • Strong track record of expanding logistics operations under strict cost control continentally.
  • Demonstrable ability to build high performing team scattered across USA
  • Proficient with ERPs (SAP, NetSuite or others)
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Past experience in Micromobility is highly regarded
