Afresh is on a mission to eliminate food waste and make fresh food accessible to all. At Afresh the VP of Product Engineering will drive development of our core products that directly contribute to our mission of eliminating food waste and making fresh food accessible to all.  The better our products perform, the higher the impact we have. With a sharp focus on executing Afresh’s incredible mission, you will provide leadership, direction, and oversight during this time of incredible growth! We want executives who lead by example and foster an inclusive company culture based on autonomy, trust and transparency. 

You should have a solid track record of building strong engineering cultures within the B2B SaaS industry, and have a proven experience growing teams through inspiration, mentorship, and ultimately lead them to deliver high quality products.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in defining and executing on our vision to launch multiple real products that drives change for an entire industry
  • Work across our product management team, customer success and support teams, and the rest of engineering to ensure that what we’re building is moving our company forward
  • Identify “what good looks like” for our product engineering organization, from hiring to release practices and retrospectives
  • Manage, innovate, and create programs, new software, analytics that drive improvements to the look, feel, and usability of Afresh’s products and services
  • Define our growing and shifting culture, with a focus on inclusion, diversity, and making meaningful changes both internally and externally
  • Be responsible for Afresh’s technical direction, demonstrate technical thought leadership, support architecture decisions and foster innovation
  • Live and promote Afresh’s values of candor, kindness, humility, and proactivity in your interactions with Afreshies and customers alike

What you should have:

  • 10+ years' experience in a technical leadership development role as part of an international, high- performance (B2B) software organization, managing a team of + 40 developers
  • Ideally experience growing an early stage high growth company
  • Must have worked with scaling orgs or teams in a B2B SaaS product
  • Deep-rooted understanding of software development processes
