Manager, Prototype Engineering (Scaleup/CO)

As a Prototyping Engineer Lead, you will lead a team building electrolyzer systems for CO2 conversion, as well as maintaining existing test infrastructure, and assisting with development and prototyping of new test hardware and methods. In this role you will coordinate with engineers and technicians, and work closely with other Twelve team members to ensure safe operation and help improve our CO2 electrolysis systems.

What you will do

• Design and build equipment and instrumentation for CO2 conversion processes
• Define project requirements, schedules, and milestones, and manage progress towards those milestones
• Document, interpret, and revise piping and instrumentation (P&ID) and wiring diagrams
• Conduct design and safety reviews
• Investigate and validate new characterization techniques through the use of sensors, hardware, and test methodologies
• Automate data acquisition, storage, and analysis
• Document operating procedures and bill of materials for ongoing projects
• Prepare presentations and report on progress at internal meetings

Who you are

• You have a degree in a STEM field
• Experience leading teams of engineers
• Demonstrable hands-on experience designing and building pressurized gas systems (valves, piping, flow and pressure control, etc.)
• Experience building integrated systems that include controls and data acquisition
• Strong desire and curiosity to learn new things
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment
