The Role:

We鈥檙e seeking a dedicated Run Technician to operate mobile pyrolysis systems in the U.S., converting agricultural residue into biochar. This role supports sustainable agriculture and the carbon removal industry.

Candidates must be available for the night shift from 6 pm to 6 am, Thursday-Sunday, and every other Wednesday. Please apply only if you can accommodate these hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile pyrolysis systems in customer fields.
  • Conduct biochar production at field edges and stationary sites.
  • Analyze operational data to optimize system performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on systems.
  • Handle mechanical, electrical, and fluid power challenges.
  • Collect soil, biomass, and biochar samples per protocols.
  • Maintain operational logs and incident reports.
  • Collaborate for continuous improvement and safety.

Requirements

  • The night shift operates from 6 PM to 6 AM, Thursday through Sunday, including every other Wednesday. Please note that these days and hours may be subject to change.
  • Must be available to work on-site at our Houston headquarters and be willing to travel up to 50% of your time. Off-site assignments typically last between 2 to 3 months.
  • Flexibility to work holidays as needed.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical or vocational training is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and operational data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Eager to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport heavy equipment (at least 50 lbs).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Passion for agriculture, environmental sustainability, and innovative technologies
  • Proven experience operating, maintaining, and repairing heavy agricultural equipment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and fluid power system
