The Sanitation associate will assist with the day-to-day operations within the Sanitation Department. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all parts of the facility are cleaned and in sanitary condition for the safety of our team and our customers.  What we do for you:<ul><li>Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) </li><li>Annual Misfits grocery box credit of $1200 paid in weekly installments</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid vacation time</li><li>Paid holidays </li><li>Paid sick days</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Hourly Compensation - $16/hr. </li></ul> <div>Schedule: Saturday- Wednesday.</div><ul><li>Saturday 8 am-4:30 pm</li><li>Sunday 5 pm- 1:30 am</li><li>Monday 5 pm-1:30 am</li><li>Tuesday 5 pm-1:30 am</li><li>Wednesday 5 pm- 1:30 am</li></ul> What you will do:<ul><li>Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedure,s including food safety rules, safe handling of materials, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.</li><li>Perform sanitation- and hygiene-related duties as assigned by Maintenance Tech using  approved cleaning procedures and practices.</li><li>Monitor chemical dilution of detergents and food contact sanitizers..</li><li>Proactively assess and address hazards in the FC such as puddles, unclean food surfaces, and waste build-up. Escalate any sanitation issues to the  Maintenance Tech.</li><li>Prepare and log donations for our donation partners.</li><li>Assist with logging and appropriately disposing of damaged items.</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse environment, including proper storage of products and adherence to safety protocols.</li><li>Monitor and maintain sanitation inventory levels, partnering with the Maintenance Tech for reorders.</li><li>May use computers or tablets for record-keeping, communication, and training. </li><li>Support Operations with different duties as needed.</li><li>Diligently adheres to all established facility food safety rules, personal hygiene standards, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) expectations daily.</li><li>Promptly escalates food safety hazards and takes immediate action to halt production lines if product integrity is compromised or suspected of being compromised.</li></ul>Who you are:<ul><li>Authorized to work in the United States</li><li>Experience in a food distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse environment</li><li>Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees).</li><li>Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices</li><li>Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.</li><li>Strong interpersonal communication</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel</li><li>Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds</li><li>Sedentary work; involves sitting some of the time</li><li>Standing desks and/or other ergonomic accommodation is available upon request</li><li>Occasional movement around the office may be necessary</li><li>Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouses, and screens</li><li>Regular use of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets</li><li>Able to work in cold temperatures in a refrigerated environment</li></ul>Please see here for Misfits Market's <a href="https://www.misfitsmarket.com/careers-privacy">Job Applicant Privacy Notice</a>.
