Description

Summary:  Tempo’s Help Desk Technician is part of the IT Team supporting both local and remote Tempo Partners.  This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, and proactively address and manage day-to-day technical issues to all partners. A help desk technician responds to customer queries to provide technical assistance.

Reports to: IT Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to Partners.
  • Install and upgrade computer hardware and software.
  • Run diagnostics and troubleshoot to resolve problems.
  • Setup and configure desk phones, mobile phones, and tablets.
  • Support and maintain network infrastructure for local and remote Partners.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve It.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems and hardware.
  • Perform routine server maintenance
  • Support A/V equipment and services in conferences and trainings.
  • Perform user account and email management.
  • Recommend procedure modifications or improvements.
  • Preserve and grow your knowledge of IT systems, products, and services.
  • Provide training for new and existing partners on use of our computer/iPad and phone systems.  
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Desktop Support, Helpdesk Support, Technical Support, a similar IT Support Role.
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to resolve IT issues quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to lift, transport, install and/or removal heavy objects (servers, printers, computer, and peripherals).
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Able to work additional hours as needed for coverage of IT related issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with an orientation towards process improvement.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new and changing responsibilities.
  • Ability to gain new technical skills quickly.
  • Experience with Audio/Visual equipment and understanding of multimedia a plus but not required.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Familiarity with Citrix DAAS and VMware a plus.

Education and/or Experience  

  • An associates degree in computer science or related field would be plus point but not mandatory.

Language Skills: English
