This is one of the largest and fastest growing divisions at TerraCycle, and the team helps customers meet regulatory requirements and achieve sustainability goals by managing complex waste streams, including electronics and regulated waste materials. 

Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Business Development will lead the development of new partnerships for TerraCycle’s Regulated Waste team in the Americas by initiating and maintaining a dialogue around TerraCycle’s offerings with marketing and sustainability stakeholders across industries and brands as well as managing and growing a team of Business Development Managers and Associates. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Manage a team of high-volume transactional sales associates to ensure they are performing to the KPIs set forth by the commercial business leaders (VP and GM)
• Work with senior team members to assist in scheduling high-level meetings and business development activities
• Working closely with VP to train associate-level sales to develop consultative sales skills with a focus on outreach and high-volume pipeline management
• Support associates as they build, maintain, and effectively manage a healthy sales pipeline of new business opportunities to deliver on ambitious growth targets
• Develop and deliver client-specific presentations
• Secure new business development partnerships for our service offerings
• Work with new partners on pricing and finalization of contracts

Requirements:

Desired Qualifications:

• 3-5 years relevant sales experience
• Experience managing a sales team 
• Excellent writing, and communication skills
• Project management and organizational skills
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from outreach to close
• Ability to work well in fast-paced service driven sales environment 
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a team in the United States
• Attention to detail
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint & Excel
• An entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude that embraces challenges and change
• Team player
• A creative mind with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
