ROLE PROFILE: Business Analyst  
SUMMARY  
Terramera’s Intelligent Agriculture team is looking for a product-minded Business Analyst to support demonstration projects, product development and commercialization initiatives. 
The ideal candidate has experience working in a technology company and is well versed in conducting internal and external business analysis efforts in order to collect, organize, and analyze information to present recommendations and insights to inform decision-making.   
Our Intelligent Agriculture team is working with farmers, scientists and key food and ag value chain stakeholders to develop the digital tools that can support the transition to regenerative agriculture.   
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
The key aspects of this position will be to gather and analyze information and requirements that will serve our customer/client base.  More specifically, here is what you’ll do:

Competitive landscape and Competitor analysis;

Problem/Solution fit analysis; 
</li>
<li>
Product/Market fit analysis; 
</li>
<li>
Features description and prioritization; 
</li>
<li>
Documentation development and continuous update; 
</li>
<li>
Evaluation of the policy frameworks and legislation related to the agriculture sector; 
</li>
<li>
Analysis of soil carbon policies and opportunities to utilize technology to improve uptake;  
</li>
<li>
Analysis of soil and farmer finance options; 
</li>
<li>
Contribute a finance perspective to important discussions in the product development process; 
</li>
<li>
Support regular forecasts and other reporting to executives and other stakeholders; 
</li>
<li>
Perform financial analysis to aid business partners in identifying cost opportunities and risks; 
</li>
<li>
Consolidate financial data across multiple engineering systems to prepare consolidated monthly reports and perform variance analysis for both operational and finance customers; 
</li>
<li>
Produce monthly variance reports and commentary on actual development costs vs. forecasted development costs; 
</li>
<li>
Prepare monthly accruals and monthly financial planning/budgeting; 
</li>
<li>
Perform ad hoc financial analyses; 
</li>
<li>
Support Accounting, Strategic Financial Planning, and occasionally Procurement as needed; and, 
</li>
<li>
Performs other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job.

MUST-HAVE ATTRIBUTES, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE 
This is what we need you to bring to Terramera:

At least two of the following highly preferred: 
<ul>

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or economics 
</li>
<li>
2+ years of corporate finance, banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting experience 
</li>
<li>
CFA, FRM, and/or CPA or foreign accountancy equivalent 
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
MBA from a top full-time MBA program is preferred, but not required; 
</li>
<li>
Tech industry experience preferred, with experience in commercialization stage; 
</li>
<li>
Prior experience with precision agriculture or ag technology preferred 
</li>
<li>
Skilled at initiating communication and building cross-functional business relationships; 
</li>
<li>
Highly productive and motivated with a solid work ethic and commitment to excellence; 
</li>
<li>
High sense of accountability for yourself and the team; 
</li>
<li>
Ability to manage multiple priorities by identifying and engaging appropriate associates to deliver under given time constraints and deadlines; 
</li>
<li>
Ability to present ideas and complex concepts in a concise, well organized manner; 
</li>
<li>
Constant desire to learn and challenge others to find the best solutions - not afraid of failure;

Excel power user with strong PowerPoint, BI tools and other analysis and presentation tools;

HubSpot experience preferred.
