Responsibilities / Tasks

As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales across all GEA products targeted at customers in the Marine, Oil & Gas, and Energy sectors in Norway. This includes identifying opportunities, leading negotiations, executing sales, and maximizing customer satisfaction, revenue, and profitability. Additionally, you will build new customer relationships and maintain existing ones.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Sell machinery, equipment, and process technology to end customers in Norway.
  • Provide direct and indirect product-related sales promotion and consulting to shipyards, system integrators and end customers in the Marine, Oil & Gas, and Energy sectors.
  • Identify and capture product-related customer needs and collaborate with the respective business line to determine the right customer offering.
  • Prepare and develop offers for separators, decanters, and process lines.
  • Coordinate the process engineering solution and determine the required process technology.
  • Engage in business development activities.

This role involves frequent travel within Norway and sporadically abroad.

Your Profile / Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a relevant technical university degree or equivalent technical experience in the field of Marine, Oil & Gas, or Energy. They should exhibit an outgoing, honest, and straightforward personality, skilled at establishing strong relationships with customers and colleagues across the organization, both locally and internationally. Additionally, they should demonstrate an ability to navigate diverse environments and collaborate effectively with various companies, locations, and cultures.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Possess a proven sales track record in selling capital goods.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SAP, CRM, and MS Office applications.
  • Bring an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Marine and Oil & Gas and energy industry. Expertise in the liquid separation segment or rotating equipment industry is highly valued.
  • Exhibit strong Norwegian and English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Are willing to travel up to 70%.
