Zero Motorcycle is looking for an IT Systems Administrator that will support IT Helpdesk needs as well as routine network system setup and maintenance. This person will also assist the IT Manager with the development, implementation and administration of the company’s critical information systems and information technology assets. This position is full time at our Scotts Valley, California headquarters and will report to the IT Manager. 

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization 

  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes 

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues 

  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure 

  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures 

  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions 

  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance. 

  • Managing IT software and hardware used by the company. 

  • Network troubleshooting and maintenance 

  • Plan, design and implement updates to the Zero Motorcycles network 

  • Manage and respond to cybersecurity related alerts and discoveries 

  • Mitigate and Remediate vulnerabilities through a risk-based methodology 

  • Performing database backups to restore and protect user information. 

  • Setting up and maintaining technology systems, including IT tasks such as configuration management, access control, security, troubleshooting, and user education. 

  • Identifying, designing and implementing solutions to mature Zero Motorcycles’ IT Operations, Infrastructure and Security.  

  • Assist with training in areas of responsibility of IT Operations, Infrastructure and Security team. 

  • Active Directory (AD) management, improvement planning, and implementation; including but not limited to migration to the cloud. 

  • Remote Desktop Management and Device Management 

  • Enhances corporate effectiveness and efficiency by providing helpdesk support for network, hardware and software tasks and issues relating IT equipment and key corporate systems 

  • Verifies corporate systems quality by conducting system updates and maintenance of applications implemented 

  • Assist in planning and development of system integrations and corporate processes 

  • Work with on-shore and off-shore colleagues to accomplish day-to-day operations, projects and achieve company goals 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related preferred) or equivalent work experience. 

  • Minimum 4+ years IT experience supporting and operating Windows domain based networks 

  • Background in systems administration and phone service support (preferably Ring Central) 

  • Experience in the management of the following enterprise applications systems: 

  • INTUITIVE ERP, powered by Aptean 

  • Salesforce.com; SFDC admin experience a plus 

  • Oracle’s Agile Product Lifecycle Management 

  • SQL, C#, HTML, PowerShell, Python and JavaScript 

Skills and Attributes 

  • Well versed in Microsoft applications and operating systems 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently 

  • Problem-solver with an analytical approach who routinely thinks ahead 

  • Communication skills for interacting with support customers 

  • Understanding network topology 

 

Other 

  • M1 Certification and familiarity with power sports industry desirable. 

  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence 

  • Experience with Okta configuration, usage and maintenance

The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $80,000 to $95,000. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to regular salary, Zero offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) matching plan.
