Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to provide financial support across multiple departments. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role plays a key part in managing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. We are open to candidates with 2-5 years of experience as well as more tenured Senior Accountants looking for their next opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fixed asset management in a manufacturing environment.
• Monitor capital project expenditures and ensure timely project closure.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, financial reports, and variance analysis.
• Review and code invoices daily, as well as evaluate expense reports.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial objectives.
• Perform additional accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA track preferred).

Experience:

• 2-5 years of accounting experience in a relevant role OR a more tenured Senior Accountant with a proven track record in financial reporting and process improvement.

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to present financial project recaps to various audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend process improvements.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary to meet critical deadlines.
