SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking an experienced software developer interested in working across a range of technologies, including Django web backends, serverless applications, and more. Develop and maintain APIs for both internal and external web systems integrated with major sales, construction management, and accounting services.  Duties and responsibilities include vetting and implementing API designs; Python coding; working with Azure and GitHub based tool chains; writing and executing tests; deployment and working with customer facing support team.  Candidates will be given an opportunity to demonstrate development skills during interviewing. While this is a position in a new and growing development team, you will be in a group with 45 years of software development and leadership experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and refine design proposals.
  • Implement design and logic for interfaces delivered over web technologies.
  • Maintain coding standards across multiple projects
  • Diagnose, debug and correct defects
  • Document implementations

SKILLS

  • Software Development in Python, preferably with experience using Django or other web frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/etc.)
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript familiarity and debugging skills
  • Experience working with Azure
  • Experience with git
  • Flow and component Diagramming

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player.

Key qualifications are as follows:

  • 3+ years of software development experience, preferably with professional Python/Django experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communications skills
  • 3rd party API integration experience, ideally with one of the following: Salesforce, NetSuite, Procore
  • Past experience in other modern web languages and environments is helpful
  • Experience interfacing with Industrial control systems or other hardware systems is helpful
