An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the financial reporting team within Smartest Energy’s Group Finance function. Leading a team of 6 accountants you will be responsible for the entire financial reporting function, prioritizing end-to-end management of the month-end and quarter-end reporting cycle, and group and statutory audits. 

A large focus of the role is to implement process improvement across core areas, ensure the reporting team is meeting its internal KPIs, and closely collaborate with Financial Operations, FP&A, Tax & Treasury to improve performance reporting. 

    What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

    • ACA/ACCA qualified with practice background and substantial PQE;
    • Strong people manager who can evidence development of staff;
    • Experience of production of consolidated group accounts under IFRS and management of end-to-end audit process;
    • Experience of establishing a strong financial controls framework;
    • Expert knowledge of business controls, data analytics & reporting;
    • Extensive understanding of Financial reporting lifecycle.
