We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Materials & Joining team at Lucid. The ideal candidate has a passion for delivering materials engineering enabled products and managing engineering programs. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective field(s), possess the ability to learn quickly, and excel within a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Materials & Joining, you will be responsible for developing schedules for materials & joining innovation and linking these with program timelines, establishing key materials & joining deliverables for program, and facilitating the execution of all deliverables. You will be required to apply your strong technical background in materials engineering to launch new technologies and work cross functionally to help solve complex engineering programs quickly and effectively. 

 

The Role: 

  • Facilitate the scoping, planning, and execution of all materials & joining program deliverables 
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget 
  • Proactively work with programs engineering, design engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to identify and mitigate risks impacting project timelines 
  • Utilize program management tools to communicate engineering tasks, progress, and to publish critical information  
  • Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders at all levels 
  • Define and implement best in class materials management processes and procedures 
  • Proactively identify key risks and quality issues, prioritize, identify mitigations, and drive to closure 
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of all Body Materials and Joining developments and qualification 
  • Work alongside material engineers to ensure proper documentation of material development and qualification 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Min. 5+ years of work experience in technical program management and materials/process development 
  • Technical background in materials science and engineering 
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and project management principles 
  • Experienced in DFMEA, PFMEA, 8D problem solving, 5S 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross functional teams 
  • Advanced experience/Mastery with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Smartsheets 
  • Experience driving development from concept to production 
  • Detail oriented with strong recordkeeping and organizational skills 
  • A self-driven approach to pushing the limits of engineering and a strong drive to develop innovative technologies 

 

Education: 

  • BS in Materials Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy or other relevant fields 

 

Preferred: 

  • MS in Materials Engineering 
  • Experience with Catia/3DX  

 

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
 
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$130,600$179,630 USD
