Description
Summary: The Warehouse Technician participates in our warehouse operations and activities. The job duties consist of receiving and sorting equipment, processing orders for sub-contractors, and assisting in the Warehouse where needed.
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving and sorting equipment
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to the schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, and ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and pallet area neat, organize warehouse, and work area for orderliness always
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Other duties as requested
Qualifications
- Dependable and reliable
- Cycle counting in inventory
- assisting Duct Board
- Current forklift certified (training available)
- Organization and time management skills
- Familiar with warehouse practices and methods
- Computer skills helpful (Windows based business software)
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and criminal background check
- Start shift at 5:00 a.m.
- Must be flexible to work overtime, possibly weekends
- Have dependable transportation
Physical Requirements and Abilities:
- Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10 to 150 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust and focus
Language Skills:
Bilingual in English and Spanish, helpful
