Role Overview
As a Junior Product Manager for Equities, you will be responsible for supporting the global Product management organization and contribute into both Asian and global initiatives. We are looking for a person that can see the big picture while simultaneously defining detailed requirements in support of the business.

The position works closely with Compliance, Technology, Operations, Front Office, as business requirements are transformed into the next version of Liquidnet. This includes organization of the global product organization and workflows, as well as starting to work on individual pieces of functionality within the overall offerings of Liquidnet.

Role Responsibilities

• Work with the Product Management organization globally to understand and document existing workflows and help to drive new initiatives.
• Build a technical understanding of how the product works and be able to determine how to compromise between end-user needs, technical limitations, and time to market goal.
• Foster business decisions by building prototypes and visuals for every stage of product development, from conception to user testing to launch
• Research and understand the equities trading industry, APAC-specific market trends, and key competitors.
• Analyse the usage of the product to drive business decisions.
• Write detailed Business Requirements and Functional Specifications
• Participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Experience/Competence
Essential

• Keen interest in global financial markets and equity trading.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; attentive to details
• Motivated self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
• Ability to work under fast-paced environment and pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint), knowledge of Programming (e.g. Python and SQL), familiar with JIRA and Confluence.
• Creative, Decisive, Resilient and Positive
• Ability to manage numerous and changing priorities & meet deadlines

Desired

• Experience working with Trading and Sales / Product Management teams
• Knowledge of Asian Equity Market regulations and practices
