Role Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Business Solutions you will be the Integrations & Operations Lead for Wood Mackenzie’s Business Solutions landscape. This is a complex cloud and on-prem business applications landscape, supported by a mix of MuleSoft, IBM and direct API integrations between core applications that include Workday, Oracle and Salesforce.  Supported by a team of engineers and specialists and working with architects and SMEs from the relevant applications areas, you will be responsible for the operational running and development of Business Solutions integrations and in addition provide line management support for the internal team responsible for Woodmac’s external website.  You will be leading operations and development teams made up of internal and external resources to ensure stability, reliability, security on the existing business applications estate whilst supporting a continually evolving and growing business through requirements for enhancements and projects.

Main Responsibilities
Leadership
•    Oversee and mature the small internal engineering teams whilst leveraging our 3rd party specialist delivery teams to support and develop the business solutions integrations landscape, ensuring the best value is delivered for Wood Mackenzie
•    Line manage and develop Wood Mackenzie permanent staff within the Integrations team and the Web Development team in line with the organisations and individuals’ development needs.
•    Participate in a Technical Design Authority to assess and quantify the risks associated with design decisions and communicate these to relevant parties.
•    Participate in Business Applications Boards to contribute to an understanding of functional and integration impacts and risks of change requests.
Operational Support
•    Oversee and support engineers for Integrations and Web Development (Woodmac.com), acting as an escalation point where required.
•    Oversee the management of incident queues and related mailboxes.
•    Oversee the management of problem and enhancement backlogs.
•    Manage the day-to-day relationships with our 3rd party application and integration support partners, helping to direct and prioritise their work.
•    Ensure expectations around service levels are maintained and 3rd parties to account in terms of the Service Level Agreements agreed.
•    Support the maturity of operational activities and processes that support and measure the daily running of the team.
•    Ensure that software operational run costs are understood, managed and sufficient licencing is maintained. 
•    Work with architects and SMEs to help maintain a technology roadmap of key application upgrades and enhancements and track overall technology obsolescence risk within Business Solutions.
Development
•    Support “Define and Assess” activities for new business requirements ensuring that wherever possible our existing software assets are utilised if appropriate and any new purchased software complements our existing estate.
•    Working with our Project Mangers act as an SME in the assessment and planning for business change, data integration, and risk mitigation projects ensuring risk and dependencies are fully understood.
•    Provide SME input to vendor selection and key technical decisions affecting Business Solutions applications and integrations.
•    Oversee, and where required, carry out the high-level design and development of new applications and integrations and core platform enhancements, helping to ensure stability, reliability, security across the Business Solutions applications estate.

Essential
•    An experienced technical lead with a proven track record and a genuine interest in cloud technologies and products.
•    Experience of complex application and integration landscapes using business applications.
•    Ability to understand complex business process flows and their data dependencies.
•    End to end software development lifecycle experience.
•    Team leadership experience.
•    Team player with a willingness to support and develop colleagues.
•    Operational service & support experience.
•    Vendor Management experience, and utilising resources from 3rd party partners.
•    Senior stakeholder management experience.
•    Strong communicator and self-starter.
Beneficial
•    MuleSoft experience and accreditations.
•    Experience of other industry recognised integration technologies.
•    Experience of integrations with Oracle, Workday and ServiceNow.
•    Experience of backlog management and collaboration tools such as Jira.
•    Experience of working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
•    Project management/delivery experience.
