Job Description:Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Voltage Protection Engineer to design, analyze, and test protection systems for medium- and high-voltage electrical systems. This role requires expertise in power systems protection, electrical safety standards, and hands-on experience with power conversion systems.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design and optimize protection systems for medium and high-voltage electrical systems interconnected to low-voltage based power conversion systems via medium-voltage transformers.</li><li>Perform power system studies (e.g., short circuit analysis, protection coordination, arc flash hazard analysis) in compliance with industry standards.</li><li>Conduct electrical testing on medium- and high-voltage equipment in accordance with industry standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.</li><li>Perform failure analysis and validation for interconnected power converters products.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability, safety, and performance.</li><li>Document system designs, test results, and compliance reports, providing regular updates on project milestones.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years in power system protection, with hands-on experience in high-voltage hardware design and testing.</li><li>Expertise in protection design and coordination for medium- and high-voltage systems.</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical protection devices and safety standards</li><li>Familiarity with relevant industry standards, such as IEEE 1547 (series)  </li><li>Proficiency in power system simulation tools</li><li>Hands-on experience with energy systems .</li><li>Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and safety awareness.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.</li><li>Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.</li></ul>Nextracker offers a comprehensive benefits package.
