Job Description
Seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to join our team and elevate our geospatial capabilities. The successful candidate will leverage ESRI technology to manage, analyze, and visualize geospatial data, delivering real-time insights to support project disciplines. This role will be pivotal in enhancing the GIS Hub, enabling data-driven decision-making through tools such as heatmaps, quality dashboards, and risk mitigation analytics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Management: Collect, organize, and maintain spatial datasets鈥攊ncluding maps, satellite imagery, and survey data鈥攅nsuring accuracy, accessibility, and relevance for project needs.
Spatial Analysis: Perform advanced geospatial analysis to inform site selection, environmental assessments, and infrastructure optimization, leveraging ESRI tools like ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst.
Visualization & Reporting: Develop high-quality maps, interactive visualizations, and detailed reports to effectively communicate spatial insights to project teams and stakeholders.
Collaboration: Partner with engineers, architects, and project leads to integrate GIS data into planning and decision-making workflows, enhancing project outcomes.
Compliance & Standards: Conduct spatial evaluations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, zoning policies, and project specifications, documenting findings as needed.
Asset Tracking: Support resource management by utilizing GIS technology to monitor and map assets, equipment, and project resources with precision.
Innovation: Stay current with GIS advancements, particularly within the ESRI ecosystem, and propose innovative solutions to streamline processes and boost project efficiency.

Required Skills and Competencies
SKILLS:
ESRI Proficiency: Advanced expertise in ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise) for geospatial data management, mapping, and analysis.
Spatial Analysis: Ability to perform complex spatial queries, generate heatmaps, and produce actionable insights from geospatial datasets.
Data Processing: Strong skills in collecting, cleaning, and preparing spatial data for integration into ESRI platforms and project systems.
Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python (with ArcPy) or similar scripting languages to automate GIS workflows and enhance efficiency.
Visualization: Talent for creating clear, interactive maps and dashboards to communicate geospatial information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Collaboration: Proven ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, translating technical requirements into functional GIS solutions.

Geospatial Technologies: In-depth understanding of GIS principles, geodatabases, coordinate systems, and spatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, GeoJSON).

Data Integration: Knowledge of integrating GIS with Common Data Environments (CDE) and project management platforms (e.g., Asite, ProjectWise).
