Job Description
This position is located in Ho Chi Minh City (HCM), Vietnam, and requires frequent travel both within Vietnam and across the Southeast Asia (SEA) region. The role reports directly to the Senior Director of LPT Service Hub SEA. A strong command of the English language is mandatory for effective communication and collaboration. You will be working as part of the LPT Service Hub team, contributing to the ongoing development and support of our services across the region.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Commissioning and service activities, including preventive maintenance, overhaul and modifications, for the GEA Filling customers in the country or in SEA Region.
- Diagnose and resolve automation software issues related to PLC, HMI, SCADA, and PC systems.
- Guide customers in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, controls, and instrumentation faults remotely.
- Advise customers on possible upgrades and support the technical quotations for service sales solutions.
- Support the digital products proposals and sales.
- Offer remote support for emergency and non-emergency technical issues onsite.
- Manage claim processing for the customer.
- Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as customer service logs/ reports and internal service records in timely manner.
- Work proactively to enhance the overall customer experience with GEA.
- Identifying and support the service sales opportunities such as spare parts proposal, modification or upgrades.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, able to work both in a team and independently.
- Collaborate with colleague from other GEA entities to enhance the service support quality.
- Willingness to travel within the country and SEA region at least 70% of annual working days.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a proven background in software design for process industry solution or equipment control within the Filling & Beverage industry.
- Minimum of five years’ experience with PLC, and SCADA systems utilization.
- Highly motivated, with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Creative problem-solver, capable of working effectively under pressure.
- Demonstrated fault-finding skills in the Filling & Beverage and liquid processing industry.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Essential experience:
- Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs.
- Reading electrical drawing and P&ID.
- Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming (LAD/STL).
- Siemens Step 7 PLC programming (LAD/STL).
- WinCC Flexible/ Scada HMI configuration.
- Electrical and electronics modules configuration and setup.
- Troubleshooting management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
