Acciona is seeking experienced Project Managers to join its Transmission Lines team. in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for dynamic professionals to contribute to the delivery of high-capacity transmission infrastructure projects.
Overview
In these roles, you will:
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Manage overall project execution, ensuring adherence to quality, environmental, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to maintain compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Provide clear direction to project teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality & Environmental Management: Implement and monitor project quality plans, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, policies, and legislative requirements.
- Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management: Oversee the performance of subcontractors and liaise with internal teams to ensure a high standard of workmanship.
- Budget & Programme Management: Manage project budgets and schedules, including tracking cost-to-date, forecasting future expenditures, and ensuring projects remain within financial targets.
- Risk & Change Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage change orders efficiently.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare comprehensive project status reports and provide timely updates to senior management.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a construction/engineering environment, preferably with Tier 1 contractors.
- Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, including programme management and cost control.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with transmission lines infrastructure, earthworks, and the development of methodologies such as SWMS and EWMS.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Availability: Ability to commence work immediately or as soon as required.
- Previous experience in substations, switching yards and transmission lines at 330kV or higher (ideally 500kV) is highly regarded
