Job Description

Acciona is seeking experienced Supervisors to join its Transmission Lines team in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated professionals to contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of high-capacity transmission infrastructure projects.

In these roles, you will:

  • Oversee daily site operations to ensure projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Support the implementation of project plans and adherence to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Supervision: Direct and manage on-site activities, ensuring that work is carried out according to project specifications and safety requirements.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce quality control measures and safety protocols, ensuring all work meets the necessary standards and legislative requirements.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with project managers and engineers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly, liaising with relevant stakeholders to minimise disruptions.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and incident documentation as required.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Education: A relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a construction/engineering environment, preferably with Tier 1 contractors.
  • Technical Expertise: Sound knowledge of construction processes, particularly in earthworks and transmission line infrastructure.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams on-site, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Availability: Ability to commence work immediately or as soon as required.
  • Previous experience in substations, switching yards and transmission lines at 330kV or higher (ideally 500kV) is highly regarded
