Student Smartstop Ambassador

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Student Smartstop Ambassador 
to support our Smartstop roll-out. In this role, you will be the point of contact at our charging stations, evaluating and if possible ensuring a smooth and positive experience for EV drivers.  
You will interact with users, gather valuable feedback, and contribute to improving the functionality and customer engagement of our Smartstops. 

As a Student Smartstop Ambassador, you will are part of the Smappee Smartstop and Service team, gaining hands-on experience in the field of sustainable mobility and EV infrastructure. This role offers valuable insights into customer interactions, operations, and the continuous improvement of our services.  

We are looking for someone who is proactive, communicative, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently while professionally representing the Smappee brand. You thrive in a hands-on environment, take initiative, and are committed to delivering a high-quality customer experience. 

This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking real-world experience in an innovative, sustainability-focused company. 

Responsibilities 

• You conduct on-site surveys with EV drivers to gather valuable feedback. 

• You hand out small promotional gadgets to customers after surveys. 

• You ensure our Smartstops remain clean and organized by performing light maintenance tasks (e.g., picking up litter, cleaning chargers). 

• You inspect charging stations for functionality, checking if screens work correctly and content is displayed as intended. 

• You assist EV drivers with app installations and charging card activations. 

• You promote customer engagement by encouraging users to join our supporter mailing list and distribute flyers door-to-door. 

• You are present at promotional action days or specific launch events at charging stations. 

• You perform competitor analysis by observing EV charging patterns at comparable locations. 

Requirements

• You are fluent in Dutch and English and are proficient in French. 

• You have a hands-on mentality and are not afraid to take initiative. 

• You are communicative and comfortable interacting with customers. 

• You have an eye for detail and can identify and report anomalies at charging stations. 

• You are flexible and can work independently while ensuring a high level of service. 

• You have a driver’s license (B) and your own car for mobility between locations. 

• You are willing to traveling across Belgium as part of your role.
